Mathias R. Vairez Jr., has been a school teacher and principal in rural Belize, Kentucky, and California. He is a lecturer (currently on study leave) at University of Belize. He has a Certificate in Primary Education from Belize Teachers’ College, a B.S. in Education: Math & English and an M.A. in Educational Administration from Spalding University, Louisville, Kentucky, and an M.Ed. in Instructional Technology from Grand Canyon University, Phoenix, Arizona. Currently, Mathias is a Doctoral Candidate (Ph.D. Educational Leadership Program) at Prairie View A&M University, Prairie View, Texas and a graduate student at Texas A&M University (M.S. Educational Psychology: Research, Measurement, & Statistics Program), College Station, Texas. His research interests include: Statistical Techniques, Psychometrics, Evaluation of Educational Systems, Factors that contribute to educational disparities, the effect of non-cognitive factors on educational achievement, and Character and Moral Development.
